Two men armed with guns robbed a Palm Desert coin dealer of jewelry and an undisclosed amount of cash today.
Two men entered Ed’s Coins in the 70000 block of El Paseo and held up the lone employee, then drove off in a red Nissan Sentra, said sheriff’s Sgt. Tom Brewster.
No one was injured. The robbery was reported about 2:10 p.m., Brewster said.
One suspect was described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, medium build, wearing dark clothing and armed with a handgun. The other suspect was described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, thick build, wearing a dark shirt and red gym shorts and armed with a rifle.
Anyone with information on the robbery was asked to call investigators at 760-836-1600 or Coachella Valley Crime Stoppers at 760-341-7867.
