Santa Rosa Plateau: Families invited to see ‘where the wild things are’

Residents are invited to pack up the kids and enjoy the great outdoors as part of the 5th Annual Family Wildlife Day at the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve.

The event, which offers families the opportunity to get up close and personal with wild birds, snakes and animals unique to the region, is planned from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 3 at the Reserve, located at 39400 Clinton Keith Road, Murrieta.

“The day will also include music, nature storytelling, wildlife photography tips, nature journaling for kids and grown-ups alike, special nature craft-making activities, games, nature walks, and displays of mountain lions and ‘bugs and creepy crawly things’ that live at the Reserve,” according to a released statement.

Cost is $3 for adults, $2 for kids (ages 2-12) and free for children under the age of 2.

Advance ticket sales are not available; pay on site.
