A 74-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a car while crossing Alessandro Boulevard in Moreno Valley on Wednesday Oct. 17 just before 8 p.m., the Riverside County coroner’s office reported.

A silver Nissan was traveling westbound on Alessandro near Indian Street when John Page Jr. was hit.
Page sustained numerous traumatic injuries and died at the scene, Sgt. Bengston stated in a sheriff’s press release.
The driver of the Nissan was not injured.
The roadway was shut down for several hours while officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department conducted their investigation, Sgt. Bengston added.
