Authorities today identified a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing a street in Moreno Valley.
John Page Jr., 74, of Moreno Valley, died at the scene of the collision, which occurred at 7:52 p.m. Wednesday on westbound Alessandro Boulevard, west of Indian Street, according to coroner’s officials and Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. James Bengtson.
A stretch of Alessandro Boulevard was shut down for about six hours for the accident investigation.
The sheriff’s department did not identify the driver or indicate whether the motorist might face charges stemming from Page’s death, though anyone who may have witnessed the collision was asked to call investigators at 951-486-6900, or 951-776-1099 after hours and on weekends.
