Murrieta: Students invited to write ‘great college application essay’

Students looking to stand out among the crowd of college hopefuls are invited to attend the free workshop “How to Write a Great College Application Essay” planned for 6 p.m. on Nov. 5 at the Murrieta Public Library.

“The workshop is designed to improve the student’s ability to write an excellent college application essay.  The various types of topics students will encounter, the four steps to writing a winning essay, and much more will be reviewed in this program,” according to a released statement.

This program is for teens in grades 9-12 and will be held in the Library’s Community Room.

To register, the student can go online to Kaptest.com/hsevents; type in their zip code and find Murrieta Library SAT Practice Essay Seminar.

“It’s an opportunity to gain skills and insights into writing an attention getting essay and improve one’s chances of getting into their chosen university,” said Teen Services Librarian Joyce Lea Brown, in a statement.

This event is free and open to the public.

The Murrieta Public Library is located at 8 Town Square on Adams Ave. and Kalmia St. in Murrieta.
