Here is a ghostly proposition for residents this weekend:  bring the family out for a truly “spooktacular educational Halloween event” at the Scarium of the Pacific.

Guests are invited to discover some of the creepiest, craziest creatures of the sea, along with some fun Halloween-themed programs.

Among the activities planned are a kids’ costume contest, coloring contests, face painting, magic shows, underwater pumpkin carving, spooky storytelling, kooky crafts, and eerie animals in the Great Hall.

The activities are planned from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 20-21 at Aquarium of the Pacific, located at 100 Aquarium Way in Long Beach.

Children wearing a Halloween costume are admitted free with this coupon.
