A vehicle tumbled 700 feet down from the Ortega Highway and left an occupant with injuries that required a trip to a local hospital, a fire spokeswoman said today.
Firefighters freed the occupant late Friday from the wreckage of the crash shortly before midnight, said Riverside County Fire Department
spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.
The injured person was taken by ambulance, she said.
The single-vehicle crash was reported at 10:29 p.m. and occurred near the Lookout Roadhouse restaurant.
Firefighters didn’t clear the scene until 2:12 a.m. today, Hendrickson said.
