The driver of the 2006 Hyundai that plowed through traffic before slamming into another vehicle and killing its occupants was identified by police today.

According to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report, Temecula resident Christopher Bostic was traveling westbound on Rancho California and entered the intersection against a red light and struck a blue Honda CRV.
The collision occurred just after 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.
The driver of the Honda was making a left-hand turn onto eastbound Rancho California Rd.
The Riverside County Coroner’s office has identified the two motorists in the Honda killed in the crash as Yorba Linda residents Cheryl Jain, 66, who was a passenger in the car when it was struck, and 74-year-old driver Amar Jain.
Officials said Bostic sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Witnesses have been contacted and are providing details that will assist in the investigation.
Officials are still determining whether alcohol and/or drugs played a role in the crash.
