As in years past, local artists and decorators have been tasked with creating special themes and ornaments to create uniquely designed trees.
Tree themes have included an oriental tree, a “Giving Tree”, an angel tree and a unique “art” tree in previous years.
“Home for the Holidays” will serve as the inspiration for the trees.
“Each year we look forward to the Christmas Tree Lane Event as it is one of the largest fundraisers for our affiliate. Proceeds from the event stay within the Inland Valley area, helping us fulfill our mission of providing adequate housing for all,” said Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley Director of Resource Development Elizabeth Hamerschlag in a released statement.
Christmas Tree Lane will be located outside of the lower level Macy’s Women’s wing. Shoppers can win the trees by dropping off a suggested donation of $1.
Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley is offering a way for local businesses to get involved, as well. By becoming a Christmas Tree sponsor, businesses will not only be supporting a worthy cause, but they will also be capturing maximum exposure at a minimum cost at the mall during this busy holiday season.
Winners of approximately 16 trees will be announced on Dec. 17 at a public event hosted by Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley.
The affiliate will also be selling their annual commemorative holiday ornament throughout the event.
