The NWS reported surface high pressure building over the Great Basin will generate locally strong and gusty northeast to east winds.

Winds are expected to gradually diminish Saturday and Sunday.

In addition to the blustery winds, humidity will fall into the upper single digits to low teens Friday afternoon.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will occur shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures will create explosive fire growth potential
