A woman who hurt her back in the mountains near Idyllwild was hoisted to safety by helicopter today, a county fire spokeswoman said.
The injury call came in about 8:40 a.m. from Pine Cove near Marion Ridge, at 8,900 feet.
A California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection helicopter hoisted the woman out of the area around 1 p.m., Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.
She didn’t say how the unidentified woman hurt her back, but described the injury as minor.
