Canyon Country: 11,000 without power during outage

More than 11,000 Southern California Edison customers were without power tonight in Canyon Country due to an equipment failure, a utility official said.

The outage occurred around 6:30 p.m. near Whites Canyon Road, according to Anna Frutos-Sanchez of Southern California Edison.

“Those without power will remain out until we can figure out what went wrong,” Frutos-Sanchez said.

There was no estimated time for power restoration, she said.
