A bovine hazard was reported today on the eastbound lanes of the Pomona (60) Freeway, as cattle took liberty from a trailer and wandered onto the freeway, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A CHP radio alert told of some cows being confined by officers to a fenced area along the freeway west of Riverside after the call was received at
12:17 p.m.

The CHP’s web site reported that cattle was seen disembarking from a trailer near Pyrite Street and walking in lanes. It was not immediately known how many cows were on the freeway.
