Thousand Palms: Mobile home blaze contained

A fire charred a room of a double-wide mobile home today in Thousand Palms, but no one was hurt, a spokeswoman said.

Firefighters received a call at 2:07 a.m. about the fire in the 31600 block of Date Garden Drive, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said.

They finally doused the flames after about a half an hour.

No one was displaced, Hagemann said.
