A single-vehicle crash in Cabazon on Interstate 10 resulted in the death of one person and sent a second person to the hospital with minor injuries, officials reported.

The wreck occured just before 9:30 a.m. when a car slammed into the center median east of Malki Road, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.
Two westbound lanes, west of Haugen Lehman Way, were expected to be shut down until about 11:15 a.m., according to CHP Officer Joe Zagorski.
“All motorists planning on traveling westbound are being advised to expect moderate delays,” he said.
