A 49-year-old Laguna Beach man fatally shot his dog, killed his wife and then turned the gun on himself on Halloween, autopsies done today showed.

Michael Brown shot the Great Dane, then his wife, Mendy Brown, 47, and then committed suicide in their Laguna Beach home, according to Jim Amormino of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Just before 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Laguna Beach police were called about a possible shooting at 835 La Mirada St., Laguna Beach police Capt. Jason Kravetz said.
A friend went to check on the couple after Michael Brown failed to show up for work, and found all three dead,Kravetz said.
Two guns were recovered at the scene, Kravetz said.
