Southwest Riverside County is under a fire weather watch beginning  Sunday Nov. 4 through Monday Nov. 5, the National Weather Service has announced.

The NWS says the watch is due to a strong high pressure ridge building in, low humidity and gusty winds.

“This combined with building surface pressure over the great basin will produce a favorable weather pattern for weak to moderate Santa Ana winds across Southwest California,” NWS officials said.

The high pressure influence is expected to move out of the area on Tuesday Nov. 6.
