Body found in Cabazon identified

On Tuesday, October 30, 2012, an autopsy was conducted on the body found along Jack Rabbit Trail near Highway 60 on Monday Oct. 29. Based upon the results of the autopsy the case will be handled as a homicide, law enforcement officials reported today.

During the investigation they identified the deceased as Thomas James Fulk, age 35, of Riverside.

Authorities are not releasing the cause of death will at this time.

Department of Forestry members discovered the badly decomposed body during a training exercise, Sgt. John Buompensiero stated in a recently released report.

Detectives from the Central Homicide Unit are actively investigating the case.
