Suspected child predator arrested in Cathedral City

A Fugitive with a felony warrant from Arizona was arrested in Cathedral City for allegedly sending sexually explicit material to a minor, it was reported today.

Authorities arrested 34-year-old David Roman of Hemet in the 33500 block of Date Palm Drive on Tuesday Nov. 6 at 3:30 p.m. on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Sheriff’s investigators from Palm Desert were conducting surveillance on the suspect, who made arrangements to meet the underage victim.

Roman was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio, Sgt. Brad Farwell said in a sheriff’s report.

“The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department would like to remind all citizens to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity,” Sgt. Farwell said.
