A film screening at a Palm Desert theater on Saturday will raise money for victims of superstorm Sandy, the theater announced today.
All proceeds from the screening of Juan Antonio Bayona’s movie “The Impossible” at Cinemas Palme d’Or will benefit the Red Cross and storm victims, according to the theater.
The screening is at 6:45 p.m. at the theater, 72-840 Highway 111.
The film stars Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts and is about a family vacationing in Thailand caught in the 2004 tsunami that devastated southeast Asia.
