San Jacinto: Woman robbed on the street, suspects at large

A man may have pointed his index finger inside his pockets to mimic a gun and rob a woman at a bus stop in San Jacinto, a sergeant said today.

The woman was fearing for her safety and uncertain whether the suspect actually carried a gun, and gave the man her handbag at 9:58 a.m. in the 1800 block of South San Jacinto Avenue, Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. S. Agcaoili said.

The suspect was described as a black man in his mid-20s with a medium build, combed back short hair and wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans. He got out of the passenger side of a green 1990s mid-size van when he approached the victim, the sergeant said.

The suspect fled the scene with a black woman, also in her mid-20s, behind the wheel of the van.

The female suspect sported a ponytail and her vehicle had a Nebraska license plate with unknown numbers, Agacaoili said.
