Two Corona motorists died in a predawn wreck today where one of them fell 30 feet from a bridge on eastbound Riverside Freeway (91), according to the coroner’s office.
Mariano Perez, 19, lost control of his pickup truck, which spun out and came to a stop facing the wrong way on the eastbound 91 freeway, according to the coroner’s report.
The crash was reported at 1:17 a.m.
Perez got out to check his truck for damage but jumped over a bridge rail when he saw a sedan coming toward him. He fell onto southbound 15 and was killed by the fall, coroner’s officials cite.
The second motorist, identified as Richard Gonsalves, 53, was driving a sedan that struck a third vehicle there, the coroner reported.
No other details were available and CHP officers were not available to discuss the crash Sunday.
