A Coachella man was jailed after he crashed into a parked car while intoxicated, it was reported today.

Officers arrived near the intersection of Palm Avenue and Fifth Street on Sunday Nov. 11 just before 7 p.m.
They discovered a man had rammed into an unoccupied car that was parked next to a curb on Palm Avenue.
Augustine Godinez, 46, was arrested for suspicion of driving while impaired with alcohol or drugs, Sgt. Frederick stated in a sheriff’s report.
“The city of Coachella encourages all drivers not to drink and drive and to report drunk drivers by calling 911,” Sgt. Frederick added.
