A woman was killed and another injured in a wreck today on Interstate 215 in Moreno Valley.

The deceased woman has been identified as 48-year-old Moreno Valley resident Guadalupe Leon, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s office.
Leon was wearing her seat belt and was not ejected from the vehicle.
The crash happened around 5 a.m. on southbound I-215 near the exit to Van Buren Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Leon was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The other occupant was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
A portion of the freeway was shut down until authorities completed an investigation.
