Escondido Police Department Sunday said they will conduct a traffic safety checkpoint examining driver’s licenses, registration, insurance and checking for vehicle code violations within the city limits Monday.
Police will also look for safety violations such as people not wearing seatbelts or young children not restrained in child safety seats, or other mechanical violations which could impair a driver’s ability to operate their vehicles safely.
Safety checkpoints promote compliance with state laws and ensure traffic safety.
Escondido police urge residents to report suspicious activities by calling 760-839-4722 or by calling the Anonymous Tip Line at 760-743-TIPS (8477).
