A man suspected of robbing several Inland banks was captured on Sunday Nov. 11 while attempting to re-enter the United States at the San Ysidro border crossing, law enforcement officials confirmed today.
Raymundo Rameriz,21,of Hemet was taken into custody after U.S. Border Patrol officers detained him and contacted Riverside County Sheriff’s officials.
Investigations revealed that Ramirez had committed bank heists between the months of April and October in Hemet, San Jacinto, Yucaipa and Murrieta, Sgt. Glenn Williams stated in a sheriff’s report.
Ramirez was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on robbery charges.
