San Jacinto: Mother, daughter beaten and robbed

San Jacinto police are searching for two men suspected in the strong robbery that occurred Monday in the parking lot of a business located in the 1500 block of South San Jacinto Avenue in San Jacinto, it was reported today.

According to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report, a woman and her daughter were approached by two black men as they got out of their car.

“One suspect punched the daughter and took her iPod. Another suspect approached her mother and demanded her purse and property,” the report said.

The first suspect was described as 5-foot-8, 150 pounds and last seen wearing a red and grey striped hooded jacket and dark jeans.

The second suspect was noted to be 5-foot-5, 150 pounds and last seen wearing a black hat with a red and green emblem, a black jacket and dark jeans.

The suspects left the parking lot in a dark-colored older model van, officials said.
