Family of six displaced after fire damages their Banning home

A family of six was displaced when a fire scorched their single-story home in Banning, a fire department spokeswoman said today.

No one was hurt during the blaze, reported Wednesday Nov. 14 at 7:42 p.m. but the flames damaged the home in the 400 block of Drury Lane, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

Firefighters contained it to one room less than 30 minutes after it was reported, Hendrickson said.

Members of the American Red Cross were called to help the parents and their four children, Hendrickson said.
