A man attacked and stabbed by unidentified assailants on a Riverside street remained in critical condition today.
The assault happened about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 4500 block of Jurupa Avenue, near Brockton Avenue, according to Riverside police.
Witnesses told officers that the victim, whose identity has not been released, got into an altercation with the occupants of a blue or black Honda–described only as Hispanic males — who knifed him and then fled east on Jurupa.
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest, according to Riverside police Lt. Mark Rossi.
He said the man was in critical but stable condition at Riverside Community Hospital.
