Rose Bowl officials urge fans to wear ponchos, umbrellas prohibited at UCLA-USC game

With steady, light rain falling, Rose Bowl officials urged the 90,000-plus fans headed to today’s UCLA-USC game to wear ponchos.

“Umbrellas are prohibited from the stadium, as they block the view of those behind them,” said William Boyer, a spokesman for the City of Pasadena.

The forecast for the 12 p.m. kickoff was for showers, light winds, and a temperature of about 62 degrees.
