Police received a call at 4:12 p.m. on Sunday regarding a robbery at 29530 Rancho California Rd.

According to Riverside County Sheriff’s spokesman Cpl. Angel Ramos, the suspect entered the store and handed a demand note to the teller.

No weapon was observed, Ramos said.

Radio transmissions suggested the robber could have been similar to the case of the “Desperate Bandit,” who robbed a Pacific Trust Bank on Oct. 15 on Ynez Rd. in Temecula.

However, law enforcement officials describe today’s suspect as 5-foot-10, clean shaven with a thin build, blond hair and a black shirt.

The man fled on foot and was last seen running through the parking lot.
