Hey there, SWRNN fans! Today I’ll be reviewing the final installment in the unfathomably successful Twilight series, “Breaking Dawn Part 2.”
This film picks up right where Part 1 left off –with Bella, Edward, Jacob and the rest of the gang prepping for a final fight against the Volturi.
The film stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Mackenzie Foy, Maggie Grace and Ashley Greene. The film was directed by Bill Condon.
If you’ve read my review for last year’s Part I, you can probably tell I’m not the biggest fan of the Twilight saga. I have read all the books, yes, but I personally think the movies are complete garbage.
I hate to say it, but I went into this film with good expectations. I went in expecting this to be the first good Twilight film. I’m sorry, but in my opinion, this is by far the worst installment in the series by far.
The acting in this series has never been good, but, my goodness, was it bad here. Every performance in this movie besides Billy Burke as Charlie Swan was abysmal and I mean that. Some scenes were so awkwardly terrible that I had to stop myself from laughing uncontrollably.
Lautner was just as stoic and emotionless as ever and Pattinson and Stewart were just as bland and boring.
The thing that really made me mad about this movie, however, was the almost nonexistent script.
The lines in this movie were cringe-worthy in every single scene and I promise you I am not making that up. Almost every line in this movie was so unrealistic and cheesy that it seemed more like a fifth grade-level stage play than a big budget film.
The special effects in this movie were even worse than the script, making any scenes with action look like they were done on Microsoft Paint.
I’d be lying if I said I’m sad to see the Twilight saga end, but I am very sad that it ended so poorly.
Overall, I give “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2″ a 1 out of 5.
