The Menifee Jazz Ensemble is kicking it into high gear with “A Celebration of Swing” at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 29-30 at Mt. San Jacinto College, Menifee Valley campus, located at 28237 La Piedra Rd., in Menifee.
The concert will feature various styles of music connected to the legendary bandleader Count Basie.
Many of the composers and arrangers who were members of the Basie band went on to push forward the evolution of jazz, including Thad Jones, Frank Foster, Sammy Nestico and more.
The concert will showcase the talent of MSJC students and community members.
General admission is $10 and $9 with SGA card.
