Liisa Orviss, who purchased her ticket at Dick’s Liquor at 737 Pearl St., said she and her spouse of 38 years haven’t decided where to go yet, but told lottery officials their destination would be somewhere spectacular.

The self-described retired homemaker — her children are now adults — said she purchases lottery tickets regularly for awhile, and then goes a couple of months without buying any before starting up again.

Orviss was the only player across 41 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Virgin Islands who matched the winning numbers of  47, 37, 8, 44 and 48, according to the lottery.

She only missed the Mega number of 27.

Lottery officials estimated Tuesday’s jackpot will be around $49 million.
