Law enforcement officials are searching for a man they say possibly assaulted and robbed a woman in Temecula, it was reported today.
Officers with the Temecula Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at about 1:40 a.m. on Nov. 28 that occurred on Pechanga Parkway near Clubhouse Drive in Temecula.
According to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report, a woman was walking on Pechanga Parkway, near Clubhouse Drive when she noticed a man stepping out of a parked vehicle and walking towards her.
“When the male got close to the female, he grabbed her by the arm and threw her to the ground. The male jumped on top of the female and the two began to struggle. The male yelled at the victim to ‘shut up.’ He then grabbed the victim’s wallet from her hand and fled back to his vehicle,” the report said.
The man jumped back into his car and sped away, traveling southbound on Pechanga Parkway, officials said.
The vehicle was described as being an older model compact car, possibly a metallic green-colored Honda Civic.
The suspect was described as being a black male adult, about 30 years old, with a dark complexion, about 5-foot-8 and weighing about 160 pounds.
