Man shot, killed in San Bernardino identified as Hemet resident

The suspected armed robbery suspect San Bernardino County sheriff’s detectives shot and killed was identified today as a Hemet resident.

Clyde Ryan Murray, 33, died of his injuries Friday at the Loma Linda University Medical Center following the shooting that erupted at a motel, according to the San Bernardino County coroner’s web site.

Sheriff’s deputies and detectives tried arresting Murray at the motel in the 1300 block of Highland Avenue in San Bernardino, where he had been staying.

It was unclear what prompted the sheriff’s authorities to open fire.

Murray was wanted in connection for a number of armed robberies in San Bernardino County, the coroner’s office reported.
