The BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament will donate a portion of each ticket sold through Christmas Eve to local charities, tournament organizers announced Monday.
The professional tennis tournament will donate $1 for every daily loge and grandstand ticket to the National Junior Tennis and Learning Network of the Coachella Valley. The organization offers events, clinics and tournaments for local children ages 5 to 18.
Tickets are available for all 21 sessions of the BNP Paribas Open, slated for March 4-17 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
New seats will be installed in the loge and suites levels this year, according to tournament organizers.
Daily tickets prices range from $13 to $95.
There is a “Daily Double” package, which provides the same seat for both day and evening sessions.
Local residents, students, seniors, military and United States Tennis Association members can get 30 percent off loge seats for some sessions.
More than 370,000 people attended this year’s tournament, setting an event record, organizers said.
Victoria Azarenka beat Maria Sharapova for the women’s title and Roger Federer defeated John Isner for the men’s crown.
Next year’s competitors will be announced in January, according to the tournament’s website.
The BNP Paribas Open is the largest combined two-week event in the world for the Association of Tennis Professionals and Women’s Tennis Association.
