Police investigate homicide in Moreno Valley

A 21-year-old Moreno Valley man was shot and killed today in a vehicle.

The gunfire was reported at 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Heacock Street and Ironwood Avenue, said Sgt. Tyson Voss of the Moreno Valley Police Department.

Officers arriving on the scene found Rodney Wills Jr., the driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, dead from an apparent gunshot wound, Voss said.

The homicide remained under investigation as of Friday night.
