A Temecula man was killed Saturday night after being struck by a full-size pickup truck, it was reported.

Ryan McPhillips, 28, was hit while he was walking at about 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 8 in the roadway on Railroad Canyon Dr. just east of Town Center Dr. in Canyon Lake, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report.
“The pedestrian victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by fire personnel,” the report said.
The investigation determined that alcohol or vehicle speed were not a factor with the driver involved.
