An AM/PM clerk was help up and robbed by a gun-toting man in Thermal, law enforcement officials reported.

Deputies responded at 2 a.m. on Tuesday Dec. 11 to the AM/PM store located at 78355 Varner Road regarding an armed robbery.

The clerk told deputies the male suspect entered the store and confronted him with a handgun, demanding money before fleeing the area, Sgt Elders said.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his 30’s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing a beanie that covered his face, Elders added.
