A motorist suffered minor injuries in a collision today near Idyllwild, it was reported.
According to California Highway Patrol officer David Kling, Idyllwild resident Dan Slattery, 51, was traveling southbound on Highway 243 in his 2004 Toyota Tundra when a vehicle traveling northbound crossed the double yellow lines near Keenwild USFS 56.
Slattery swerved to avoid hitting head on causing him to careen down an embankment.
Slattery had minor injuries, but was not transported to the hospital.
The other vehicle that crossed the double yellow lines was not identified and never stopped, officials said.
