A man entered a Carl’s Jr. restaurant today in Palm Springs, walked behind the counter and ran out with a cash register drawer loaded with money, a sergeant said.
Officers responded to a 911 call made at 12:52 p.m. to the fast food eatery located in the 2500 block of North Palm Canyon Drive. They found the suspect, Kirby Asher, nearby.
Asher was arrested for suspicion of second degree burglary, Palm Springs police Sgt. Mike Kovaleff said.
Asher never used any force, weapon or made any threats when he allegedly took the drawer, which was was recovered along with the cash.
