A 58-year-old Saugus woman was arrested today for allegedly stealing packages delivered to the porches of her neighbors.
“This has been a problem for some time,” Deputy Joshua Dubin said.
Mariola Gorak-Doughlin was arrested in the 21800 block of Maged Court, and deputies recovered several pieces of stolen property.
Gorak-Doughlin was being held on a $20,000 bail, Dubin said.
Dubin said that when deputies went to serve a search warrant at her home today, they found a Christmas wreath on the woman’s front door.
“It turned out the wreath had been taken from the front door of a home just around the corner,” he said, adding that the stolen wreath was returned to its owner.
