A mobile home caught fire today in a Palm Desert mobile home park, a county fire department spokeswoman said.
The non-injury fire was reported at about 11:45 a.m. at 10 Cholla Lane in the Silver Spur Mobile Home Park, which is located in an unincorporated area of Palm Desert near Highway 74.
The blaze was contained about 25 minutes later, and it was unclear if the home was occupied or vacant, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said.
Firefighters were expected to be at the scene for another hour for cleanup, according to Hagemann.
