Pedestrian struck, killed near Riverside identified

Authorities today identified a pedestrian who was fatally struck by a pickup truck in the Rubidoux area near Riverside.

Jill Ann Vogel, 54, died at the scene of her injury, which occurred shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mission Boulevard and Opal Street, the Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau reported.

The investigation was being conducted by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
