A motorist was injured in a crash in Idyllwild, it was reported.
According to California Highway Patrol officer Chris Blondon, Leah Munoz, 36, was driving her 2013 Toyota Corolla at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 24 on Highway 243 in Idyllwild when a boulder rolled down an embankment, hitting her car on the passenger front side.
Munoz attempted to swerve to miss the boulder, but was unsuccessful, officials said.
She was transported by Idyllwild Fire to a nearby hospital by ground complaining of neck and back pain.
