Needy families, elderly residents and anyone who has fallen on hard times are invited to sit down and enjoy a hot meal on Christmas Day.
The 3rd annual Menifee Christmas Dinner is set for 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 25 at the Marion Ashley Community Center, located at 25625 Briggs Rd. in Menifee.
Not only will guests be served a hot meal, but they’ll also receive a courtesy boxed meal to take home after the community dinner, according to organizer Jimmy Canales.
Each child will have the opportunity to take part in a craft and receive a gift, Canales said.
Roughly 300-350 guests were served last year and Canales said the hope is that at least that many – or more – will stop by to enjoy a hot meal on Christmas Day.
The event is open to residents of Menifee, Quail Valley, Sun City, Romoland, Perris and Murrieta.
