Chains were required today in the Wrightwood area, but the Angeles Forest Highway between Palmdale and the Crescenta Valley cities was open.

Interstate 5 over the Grapevine, the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway near Acton, and Interstate 15 over the Cajon Pass were all open and clear of snow at midday.
Los Angeles County road crews had instituted chain control on the Big Pines Highway between the Antelope Valley and Wrightwood, including the area near Mountain High.
Caltrans had posted chain controls on the Angeles Crest Highway, Route 2, from Islip Saddle near Mount Wilson east to the Mountain High Ski Area, near Wrightwood.
Out of the area, chains were required on state Route 33 between Ojai and the Lockwood valley turnoff.
No chains were required on highways in the San Bernardino Mountain resorts.
