Update: Motorist killed in early morning Wildomar crash identified

Update @ 2 p.m.: The Riverside County Coroner’s office has released the name of the man killed in today’s fiery crash in Wildomar.

Lake Elsinore resident Daniel Medina, 24, was not wearing a seat belt when he lost control of his car, rolled several times and crashed into a block wall near a residence on Grand Ave., the coroner’s report said.

Medina was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

According to Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann, the incident occurred at 2:38 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3 in the 21700 block of Grand Ave. in Wildomar.

The vehicle veered into a brick wall, causing damage to other vehicles.

An adult male was thrown from the car and did not survive.

The man has not yet been identified.

Wildomar police are investigating the incident, Hagemann said.
