Fans of Snoopy and the gang are not going to want to miss “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” when it hits the Temecula stage.
Presented by the Fine Arts Network Theatre Co., the Tony award-winning musical will feature such toe-tapping, hand-clapping tunes as including “Beethoven Day!,” “Suppertime!,” “My New Philosophy,” and “The Book Report.”
Director Matt McGill said that Peanuts fans will appreciate the show for its authentic feel of the beloved Charles Schultz cartoon creation.
“Everything is written almost straight out of the comic strip, through words and song. Even the costumes and the scenery are true to the original comic strip,” McGill said.
Featuring a cast of just six actors who hail from San Diego to San Jacinto, McGill noted that theater-goers of every age do not have to be Peanuts aficionados to appreciate the performance.
“They thing I love about this show is that people will laugh and enjoy themselves without (having to see something) inappropriate, vulgar or crude,” McGill said.
“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” runs Jan. 5-13 at Old Town Temecula Community Theater, located at 42051 Main St. in Temecula.
Tickets start at $15.
